Absolute Effort: How to avoid regret

As we grow older I think it is natural to reflect upon our past and draw certain conclusions about our own life. Inevitably, some things we are happy about and other things we wish we could change. I suppose that is self evident.

But when I look back on my life I draw immense pride on the fact that there is very little that I would change, even if I could. Every misfortune, difficulty, and challenge has ultimately made me the man I am today – and for that I am immensely thankful.

Upon closer inspection I know that at every stage in my life so far – even in those instances when I have failed – that I gave each challenge all the effort that I could muster. And for me – I do not regret failure when absolute effort was given.
