Pictures of Grilled Meat

In addition to all of the vital thoughts rolling around in my head that all of my faithful readers love so much (sarcasm) sometimes it’s just as important to remember the simple pleasures.  For me, it’s hanging out on the back porch and grilling.  Nothing special, but a great way to relax.  I apologize in advance to any of my vegetarian friends out there. I promise to eat tofu at least twice this week to make up for it.

Oh and just in case you were wondering.  I cooked the ribs at about 300-350 degrees with indirect head for about 3 hours.  I also used a dry rub consisting of cayenne pepper, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a touch of chili powder thoroughly coated before I began cooking.  I put the ribs in foil for the first 2:45 and let them get a little direct heat for the las 15min (I like the meat to have a little char).  The veggies I just put in the foil with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper and let them cook for an hour.

The photos are making me hungry – and I haven’t had dinner tonight (just order-in pizza, but with fresh mozzarella, fresh mushroom, and fresh tomato topping). Grilling outside is something I really miss (in nyc i haven’t got private outdoor space). What a GREAT way to eat.
